Rose Park

The streets in Rose Park have lovely names like Nocturne, American Beauty, and Capistrano. Many houses in the area have manicured lawns and flowerbeds that would make any garden club proud. Between 600 N. and 1700 N. and 900 W. and Redwood Road (1700 W.), this area has been both heaven-on-earth and a heartache to local residents.

When crime began to encroach on sections of the neighborhood several years ago, this tight-knit community fought back with one of the most active Mobile Watch units in the state. Local volunteers took control of their turf and, according to the Salt Lake police department, they are doing very well.
