For sheer anxiety and gripping terror, few events can rival an Easter Egg hunt. The sight of thousands of three-year olds hurtling their bodies with reckless abandon after candy and colored eggs can shake the nerves of the most stout grown-up. Well, put your ear plugs in and prepare for battle on the Saturday before Easter. Salt Lake County sponsors Easter Egg hunts at each of its recreation centers and the West Jordan Soccer Field at 7800 South 4000 West. In a scene reminiscent of the Germanic hordes sacking Rome, as many as 10,000 kids have descended on the West Jordan site and thousands have bombarded the recreation centers.
