Our Approach
Our approach to the Salt Lake City real estate business has evolved over the years and is a direct result of our education and experience in other businesses. Alexandra Bryant received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Utah and has more than 10 years of sales and marketing experience. Trent Bryant received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He worked for 8 years as an engineer helping to design aircraft and ships for our armed forces before changing careers. Trent uses his multi-tasking and organization skills to always stay two steps ahead of the opposition.
When we both entered into the real estate business, we came to it without a desire to fit ourselves into the traditional real estate agent model. Instead, we analyzed the real estate business in Salt Lake City and developed our business to satisfy what we would expect from a Salt Lake City real estate agent ourselves. We used our analysis of what led to success in our other careers as a foundation of what would be good business practice in Salt Lake City real estate.
We have learned that many people who buy and sell homes make decisions largely on the basis of emotions. Although buying and selling a Salt Lake City home is often the single most important financial decision people make, many people approach buying or selling real estate with little or no information. They act on their heart and lack of good information. Imagine how someone feels two years later when discovering their house is worth less than they paid for it – it happens all the time.
We believe that home ownership is part of an overall financial plan and should be approached in a business-like manner. We believe in giving our clients all the information necessary to make well informed, intelligent decisions. We believe in giving our clients all their options in their particular situation. And sometimes it is not in our client’s best interest to buy or sell a piece of property. Every situation is different and must be intelligently analyzed accordingly.
So we decided to approach the Salt Lake real estate business as a consultant instead of a salesperson. We believe in giving our clients all available options. Sometimes that requires bringing in other financial experts, such as financial planners or tax accounts to analyze the situation. Our business is Salt Lake City real estate, but our client’s business is what is best for them and their family and we act accordingly.
Most Salt Lake City real estate agents spend 90 percent of their time looking for new clients. We decided to use that time to provide extra services to our clients. Consequently, most of our business comes to us from referrals. If you structure a real estate business the way we do you put the future of your business in the hands of your clients – if you don’t do an extraordinary job you won’t get referrals and eventually you won’t be in business anymore.
Our approach may not be for everyone. Since most Salt Lake City real estate decisions are founded in emotion, we believe that our clients should have at least one foot firmly planted on the ground. We help make sure both feet are planted by ensuring the decision they make is the right one for them.
